A Tragic Death
Wednesday, January 16th, early in the morning, when Frank Postulka was crossing the railroad by the depot he was struck by an east bound train that was going at full speed. He was hurled several yards through the air and fell on the platform, striking several obstructions. Death was instantaneous
Frank Postulka was born in Bohemia, in 1816 where he lived until 1873 when he came to America with his wife and children, settling in Tama County. He fought the battles of life successfully. At the time of his death he resided with his youngest son, who is a merchant in Vining. Five sons, two in South Dakota, one in Minnesota, two in Vining, and one Daughter, Mrs.. Beoba, mourn his loss. His wife died in January, 1893. The funeral services were held at the home of Stove Postolka, Friday forenoon, being conducted by Ant Novotny. The remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery. The mourning relatives have our sympathy,
